Broken

It's all broken now
all the fragments of my life
crushed into shattered nothingness.
i was so close
to being better
to pulling all the pieces of my life
back together
BUT I SHOULD HAVE KNOWN
that if the foundation was flawed
the walls-no matter how many there are
were bound to fall.
I SHOULD HAVE KNOWN
she wouldn't love me forever
I SHOULD HAVE KNOWN
i couldn't fix everything
I SHOULD HAVE KNOWN
i should have known
but i wanted to have hope
to believe that things could turn around...
and maybe that's the reason
that all i am now
is BROKEN
