Every Time

by ryan   May 19, 2004

I should have learned my lesson,
But I've always been a slow learner.
Too stubborn, too optimistic,
Convinced everything has an obligation to end up ok
I should have woken up.
Get a grip, this is reality!
But no...
I can't do it.
I can't accept
the darkness the pain
I don't know how to deal with these.
Can there be any escape?
I've fallen for the trap,
But who could blame me?
It sounds good,
Looks GREAT,
But that should have been a warning to begin with,
To open my eyes and see the truth
That although it always seemed
That we could be together forever
That tired old cliche was a lie
Every Time.
