She Never Knew

by Nick   Feb 24, 2008

Like a knife,
Her magnificent eyes
Cut my soul,
But I feel no pain.

Like a bird,
She flies freely
Unaware of the torment,
She causes on my heart.

Yet she smiles at me serenely,
While she removes my pain
And replaces it with elation,
Far beyond my imagination.

When I talk to her the sky changes
From blue to something even more beautiful.
Time slows down, and the clouds go by,
Then I look up, and see a scarlet colored sky.

I can only hope that her soul
Is as sharp as her eyes,
And her heart...
As free as a bird.
