The Insanity of Love

Flick the switch, turn off the light,
Still able to see, you shine so bright.
Illuminate my life, allow me to see,
The possibilities of what could be.

The flame does flicker into wild dance,
Can't look away, caught in this trance.
Consume the mind, and pull me in,
I have no choice, you're sure to win.

Ragingly infatuated by my new craze
Reaching out to set my heart ablaze.
"Play with fire, you might get burned,"
Still a lesson which I have not learned.

To ignite my passion you do contrive,
Allowing the insanity of love to thrive.
And as the wick does meet the flame,
I experience a want I cannot tame.
