I Stand My Ground (Acrostic)

by Taylor   Feb 25, 2008

I've been through hell, but I'm still here

Slowly fading into the mist of tears
Taking every chance I get, no matter what be my fear
All these thoughts rush back to you, my dear
Nevertheless, it's hard to breathe without you near
Damn the people who tried to keep me from staying here

My weakness doesn't show when I'm about to burst
You'll know it's your fault when you see the black hearse

God, do I hate when I fall down
Realizing my fate and crashing to the ground
Oh, it's so hard for me to make a sound
Upset and broken, even when no one's around
Nobody can feel my pain, it's still hasn't been found
Don't waste my time and throw your lies into the mound

Great piece of writing. i really like the form of acrostic, and how in each stanza forming a word in every line the ryhm is the same
and the meaning is very well expressed with the wording

    great job
