Misconception of A Freak (Collab with Kelly)

Fortress of stone
Isolated around her heart.
A life once perfect
Has now fallen apart.

As everything she has known,
All comes crashing down,
As her smile disappears,
It's replaced now by a frown.

She can't stand to hear the rumors,
As she passes them in the hall.
If only they knew the truth,
If only they caught her fall,

Because she cannot walk,
And the words she cannot speak,
And because she is so silent,
They labeled her a "freak"

When really she has a gentle soul
Filled with great kindness and love
But to them she wasn't "normal"
So they were so quick to judge.

So without a single care,
They called so many names,
They made her feel so worthless,
They put this girl to shame,

She couldn't take all the hate
Herself- is all she tried to be
But this world we live in
Will not accept individuality.

Now completely broken,
she cries into her pillow at night,
Because she was judged,
By those who thought they were right!

    The truth behind this poem was filled with such meaning and power which made it great to read. Its so heartbreaking to know how many people are judged by their clothing or the way they speak because they do not fit in with the norm. They dont take the time to get to know this person yet they talk as if they know them. You spoke of something we all see in school and its so sad to see. Well done you two. *5/5*

    Wow!! Those are the words that completely came out of my mouth when I finished reading this. I absolutely loved this poem. It had so much feeling in it. The words you chose was absolutely amazing. I hate when people judge everyone just because they way they look. It dusgusts me and I hate it so much. I loved your poem. This will definately go in my favs. Very good job!! 5/5 <---wish I could give it more since it deserves it.
