At the end of a rainbow - A Sonnet

by Jeanne   Feb 26, 2008

Simply because there little fingers brush,
and there gentle lips allow them to kiss.
It started out as an impossible crush,
impossible, but only to resist.

Mother and father were in disagree
even there child they wish to disown.
It was like the world was crashing on me
Perfection was all that I've ever shown.

Now i must fight through the struggle and pain
fight through the protests and cursed signs.
Perfection shown, still sameness I didn't gain,
they act as if this love was a big crime.

A person deserves all equality
I was made to create no one but me.
