Midnight Moon

I stare up at the velvet sky.
I can't help but wonder why.
Why am I alone in this Cold, dark world?
Why don't I have anyone to hold?
The dark blue sky plays hide and see.
Where did it go?
When can I peek?
I look for the sky like a giddy child.
I look and look, my temper mild.
I don't find it. I GO WILD!
The sky has left me, just like you.
Who will I lean on?
Who do I cry to?
From a child to her mother.
There will never be another.
No one else to replace you here.
