I am in my grave when there is no light
I wish I could make the darkness my wife
I die when i close my eyes at night

Sleep will take me there is no fight
When I am sleep I am closer to life

My dream once soaring is a broken kite
I see my birth under the blackened knife
I die when i close my eyes at night

Love, pain, blood, and sorrow is not in sight
Life to death and death to life is not strife
I am in my grave when there is no light

In the dark abyss there's no wrong or right
Only the black darkness that will take my life

I am lifeless when darkness is in flight
But with light comes my awaited life
