Me and the moon.

by InterviewWithTheKat   Feb 27, 2008

The feeling of being so small.
Being lost beneath the diamond sky
In a sea of blues and blacks and greens.
Natures music silent yet evident this quiet evening.

The feeling of being so insignificant.
My breathing gentle, like the sound on an ocean.
Soft and consistant.
The darkness is comfortable, my colourless pillow.

The feeling of being so relaxed,
Yet so very afraid, and indifferent, all at once.
Tonight is a lonely night.
Like every other.

Its just me and the moon.
Me and the moon and the stars.
Just us.
Always.

I liked this a lot. Most of us question our place in the scheme of things from time to time and you have rendered this question in a very thoughful and lyrical way.The last verse is achingly sad but beautiful at the same time.
