Not A Mistake

The fire is lapping at her feet
She's standing in the midst of hell
But she wears a great smile
As if all is well

Deep inside she is burning
With this pain that consumes
Her life seems perfect
But she's so confused

The flames are leaping upward
Scorching her skin
In this life of hell on Earth
She will not win

Everybody is waiting
For her to burn
But she wears a smirk
For she has learned

They'll push you until you snap
And burn you down
But to see you fall
Is why they're around

They want you to break
They want you to fail
They do all they can
To make life hell

Keep your head up
Laugh in their face
Prove to them
That you're not a mistake
