Pressure to keep up

Like all parents I work for my kids ,
to be able to provide for them the best I can.
Wanting to give them more than what I had ,
so they have practically everything known to man.
But in the want to full fill all their wishes ,
there are times I feel under pressure keeping up with society.
Nothing stays the same and is forever changing ,
this modern world of ours is filled with so much variety.
My kids like any other want all the modern things ,
but it's never enough and so they just want more.
They have a playstation 2 but want the playstation 3 ,
in my efforts to keep up i am slowly becoming poor.
My eldest not only wants all the modern technology ,
he also wants to look good in the latest fashion.
Fortunate for me my middle one isn't into game consoles ,
but he does collect cars and buses and does so with a passion.
My youngest is only nine but going on sixteen ,
he is a games addict and he follows his older brother.
Each of them have mobile phones always wanting the latest one ,
it's impossible to keep up and makes me feel like a failing mother.
It's the changing of modern technology that plays a huge part in society ,
kids of today seem to be competing wanting only the best things.
Has a parent keeping up is an ever increasing nightmare ,
and I am sure I am not alone in finding the pressure it brings.
