A thousand butterflies

Time taught me many lessons
Years brought upon me many pains
A thousand butterflies die in my heart
Lack of blood through cut veins

How did I ever forget to fly
I fell deep without my wings
A fallen angel
The curse of all beings

There's flowers in my garden
A thousand iris die slowly
A river now coloured crimson
Drowns all the beauty

The torture around me is ageless
A life not worth all the damage
Shattered glass cuts deeper now
