The story of an angel

The beautiful angel will never fly
she's too busy drowning
in the tears she's afraid to cry

she's chained to the ground
deaf and dumb
unable to make a sound

and yet she is still amazing
and she contines
to be beauty emenating

and her wings were broken
a long time ago
and still she is choking
on all the things she didn't do

why she is like this
nobody knows
so her silence
continues to grow

but wings are strange
and maybe someday
they will grow and change

so for now she will try not to cry
all alone
and pieces of her will continue to die

and she'll shatter and fall
because to gain
you must lose it all

and though she is hurt
and feels like dirt
all who see this sad angel's face
see the beauty in her grace
