A Joke Like You!

by MoreThanJustAGirl   Feb 29, 2008

This town, it's always the same,
running the drug's, get in the game,
Your screwed if no one knows your name,
Connection's is the name of the game,
Mess with me, all you want,
It's your a-- on the line,

You'll see,
You'll do the time,
Yeah, you make fun of me,
But in time you'll see
If I can quit the weed,
Quit the Ecstasy,
If I can quit the coke,
I wont turn out a joke,
Like you.
I'm better than that,
No matter how much drug's you do.

Go ahead, parent your kid,
Do what every other parent in this town did,
Take away his future,
substitute with torture,
But that's how you grew up,
Oh, well right?
Tuck them in say good night,
Pretend like what you do is alright,
No matter what THEY say,
I tried to parent my way,
What's wrong with the world?
Give a druggie their kid,
Take it away from a good girl,
My baby is still my world,
Even though I don't get to see him,
He's still my son,
I'll be a great mom someday,
If THEY'LL ever let me be one,

You'll see,
You'll do the time,
Yeah, you make fun of me,
But in time you'll see
If I can quit the weed,
Quit the Ecstasy,
If I can quit the coke,
I wont turn out a joke,
Like you.
I'm better than that,
No matter how much drug's you do.

If THEY only knew,
You'd have the same problem I do,
You don't realize what you have till it's gone,
But you don't care you're a thief a crack head and a con,
And what they don't know wont hurt you,
So sniff as many line's as you can possibly do,
Maybe pass-out on the couch,
Maybe someday THEY'LL check your house,
Even if you are a pill head,
To me you don't exist,
To me you're dead.
I don't feel any pity for you,
You are the owner of what you do,
What are you going to do?
When your child grows up and wants to be just like you?
Go to jail just like daddy,
That'll be sad to see,
You weren't ready,
And you still aren't, for a kid,
You're not ready to be a mom,
Until you can give up all the thing's that you want,
For your son,
Pill-head,
The life may work for some,
But not for a woman who is ready to be a mom.
