Hope its not too late

All the smiles & tears,
You were there though them all.
In the five years i knew you,
you never let me fall.

The Best Friend I could wish for,
the one that was always true.
Who could replace my best friend,
No-one, thats who.

When at my lowest you were there too,
A shoulder to cry on that was always you.
You knew the real me that was deep down inside,
When i was with you i felt no need to hide.

I understand that you love him,
he's the one that treats you right.
but you had no time for our friendship,
Maybe i should have put up more of a fight.

We didn't talk for ages,
you were always too busy.
thinking about the friendship we lost,
made me feel sick and dizzy.

I built up the courage and told you how i felt,
The reply you gave me made my heart melt.
We could make this work I'm sure that we could,
We can't throw this away our friendships too good.

I hope we can make this work, hope its not too late,
I never want to lose you your my very best mate.
