The airport

Looking at the back of my wrist
The minute hand strikes half past two
An hour late, here comes the twist
I'm seven miles away from you

Speeding faster than my eye can see
I rush to get closer to home
With the strength I gather inside of me
I've left no chance to roam

As the plane touches down, I arrive at scene
And walk towards the sliding door
A grand welcome, but my heart not keens
Sadly my eyes fixed to the floor

I searched and fail to see you around
I decided to give you a ring
At last, on seats and you, I've found
My heart began to sing

Pink boots, black dress, pink coat, pink bag
As the beautiful eyes made my day
Your glamour made me feel dressed in rags
I listened to what you have to say

And as I took that picture with you
My heart played the music of joy
A radiant smile, you begin to do
Made you my world's decoy

Why must all good things come to an end?
As you say you're leaving soon
As of now we're just proclaimed as friends
Music stops and a raging typhoon

As the doors closed to the train
I saw your image for the last time
All the strength I hold had drained
Your smile in this heart of mine

Walking in circles I've lost my directions
I looked down to hide my tears
My heart no longer gave me instructions
A memory I've held all these years

I don't know what he has done
But please give me a chance
My moon, my light, my star, my sun
Allow my heart once more to dance
