spring
because it makes me think of you

and have long talks
and it fills me with joy
cuz it was the first time i loved a boy
i fell in love
right after the spring
the next season
and i know it was more than a fling
and you captured a part
with a smile and a laugh
of my heart
and you'll always have that piece
as long as you continue

so now that it is spring
and out comes
all the lovely things

this is dedicated to jay. the first boy i ever loved (or liked waaaaaaay too much for my own good...) i hope someday he reads it. he's still an amazing friend of mine, whom i never can get enough of
