Beauty in the Unwinning Battle

by Sky   Mar 2, 2008

I calm my anger, by punching pillows
The trees around me vibrant willows
I spin and spin
To lose thought of this battle I cannot win

The battle making me lose my hope
But I will not turn around and mope
I look around at the falling leaves
Then look at the torn trees

Angry thieves stole their beauty
So they cannot complete their duty
They're burned and cut
Their wounds will never shut

They are not unlike me
Who will never be free
I scream aloud
No one to hear, my fear lost in this cloud
Of desperate pain
I'm not using my brain

The falling leaves of this spring time bloom
Is where my hope lies in this doom
That will not leave me any eternity near
Just holds in my fear

The birds tweet and scream aloud
They are bold and proud
I wish I was
But what does
This vibrant beauty mean
It is meant to be seen

As I spin and spin
In this loss for the hope to win
