Good-bye daddy

by kaili   Mar 2, 2008

Daddy, why are you crying?
Tell me,
Why do you look so sad?
I'm sorry about what I did.
I'm sorry I made you mad.

I didn't mean to be late,
I didn't mean to run.
But you know daddy,
When you hit me,
It really isn't fun.

The skin on skin is painful,
The tears they burn like fire.
You say it hurts you more than it hurts me,
Daddy you're a liar.

Daddy, I'll say it again,
So you'll know it's true.
Daddy I'm really sorry,
But this is what I have to do.

I have to say good-bye,
And leave you this very night.
Just know it hurts me more than it hurts you,
And daddy, you know I'm right.

***One of my best friends had writen the poem to her father before she ran away***
