Fix a Smile

by Mike   Mar 3, 2008

A girl once smiled and laughed
She had innocent thoughts
But life was cruel
It took this girl
Turned her upside down
Tore her smile away

In her eyes, the pain
It hides in plain sight
She walks battered and broken
Everyday she fakes that smile now

Wanting everything to go away
She screams in frustration
The sound not loud, not angry
But soft and sad

The pain she holds is to great
I believe it's not to late
To see this girl smile
At least once more
And mean it

I'll do everything to see it
I'll do anything to make it

I'll take this girl from broken
And make her good as new

Take the past
And we shall make the future
I'll show you right
We'll beat the wrong
