A Letter Addressed To All Men...

by Brigitte   Mar 4, 2008

Dearest Boys,

This is a notice for all you men.
Listen carefully, for I won't say it again,
It can be said that I've come to the conclusion
That the only good men are in low distribution

These highly demanded men of which I speak
Undoubtedly wear a loving physique
And un-like all you ordinary boys
These men bring me the greatest joys

The only boy that I see for me,
Is the one who never disagrees.
He'll wait all day for me to come home,
And his hair is always neatly combed.

He appreciates my cooking, even if it's burned,
And he never leaves the toilet seat up-turned.
His hugs are always warm and protective,
And monopolizing the remote is pointless in his perspective.

I'm sorry if this letter comes as a surprise
And you may not agree with all it implies.
It's just the more boys I meet,
The more I begin to love my dog, Pete.

Signed,
The Happy Duo,
Pete and me.

Very well done! The flow was good, exept for one part:

It's just the more boys I meet,
The more I begin love my dog, Pete

The flow was not as good as the rest of the poem ( but I'm not saying it is bad or anything) I was just thinking maybe you could change it a little:

But the more boys I meet,
The more I love my dog Pete

I think most agree that the first stanza was the best, but toward the middle the rhyming seemed a little forced... other than that, it was very funny and true...
    keep writing

The flow of it was really smooth too, the whole poem seemed so effortless.

"It's just the more boys I meet,
The more I begin to love my dog, Pete."
    ^Haha. I couldn't agree more. [except my dog's name isn't Pete. lol]
I have to go add this to my favorites now.
5/5 [if I could give you anything higher I would]

Haha a genius poem! Perfectly written and i think it's safe to say that this poem is very relatable!

His hugs are always warm and protective,
And monopolizing the remote is pointless in his perspective.

My favorite lines! THat's all you need in a good relationship... warm protective hugs... and a guy that lets you hold the remote conttrol .. haha not really but those are two very important things!

very nice job writing this poem! I love it haha.. keep it up! =) 5/5
