Beast Within

by JEFF   Mar 4, 2008

My eyes steady on my desired prey,
as she slowly turns and comes my way.
Closer and closer as she starts to come near,
the thirst for her blood will soon disappear.

When another arrives and now there are two,
my heart beats rapidly as I know what to do.
They both reach that place the point of no return,
I spring from the bushes their surprise I have earned.

Pulling each body deep into the woods,
Their lives taken from where they once stood.
Back at my den I begin a great feast,
For this is my sin; the hunger of the beast.
