Say Hello To The New Me

Im growing up now and I realize that lifes not a magical
Fairy tale. I also realize that with growing up, responsibilities
Come along. Boys come and go, and relationships get stronger
A bond for life.
And like Ciara said, Love comes along and trips you up
But you try to catch yourself before you hit the ground
But thats not promised. Friends are there to cheer you
Up, although like boys they won't always be around.
So I say goodbye, so long, my life's moving
On, up, and forward. Its time for me to take charge
And be in control of me, myself, and I
My ship had sailed and its time for another one to come in
I finally found myself

Im almost 15 and Im finally coming to terms with myself
Thinking about what I want in life and Im determined
To get it.
In a few years, Ill be grown and time to get my priorities
Straight. Hoping God will help me along the way
Sooner or later, Ill be the perfect mother and a wife
And thats my destiny, and even if it didnt
Become a reality, Il wait for the blessing God
Has for me.
