Even if your heart is soaked in red blood
and you feel as if your feet are stuck deep into the mud;
even if their words burn your skin to ashes
and your in a puddle of gasoline holding the matches;
even if those stares seem to slit right through your throat
and your in a pool of fish and you don't know how to float;
your tears may be able to fill the four oceans around the world twice,
realize that not all people are bad and most of them are nice;
if you've been hurt a billion times before,
accept the chance it may happen once more;
and that cloud that follows you wherever you go
