Wilted Visions

by Dee   Mar 6, 2008

Looking around the house tonight
Living the doom and gloom
I am like the wilted flowers
Begging for water from across the room

Like the plants crying for affection
for sunlight and water too
Flowering plants bring us oxygen
Offering us an extra breathe to see us through

The view of a run down lonely window
As I stand on the outside looking in
Knowing once I open the door
I absorb the sadness awaiting within

Home is where the heart is
At least that is what they say
But I have no idea where home is
And I don't want to stay

The walls are falling down around me
As I watch my life wither away
I am living with a wilted vision
On a waterless rainy day

Sometimes you need the rain
To make the flowers grow
But my teardrops need some sunshine
So the water does not overflow

You need all of mother nature
To keep the balance right
For the flowers cannot blossom
From mere teardrops in the night
