The Mirror

by Gabba Gabba Hey   Mar 6, 2008

In the mirror standing tall
eyes real wide, smile small
the girl in there is not like me
her visions clear but she can't see
the war behind her, calm and still
raging loud with all her will
but to others all is well and bright
nothing to show her violent fight
the girl in the mirror has an easy life
nothing to hurt, to cause strife
is that what people see, I ask
this forgetful figure, wearing a mask
the one that nobody really knows
the one that smiles and laughs but never shows
her true feelings, the ones that hurt
the ones that make her cower and feel like dirt
the girl in the mirror has no fears
no problems, no hurts, no cuts, no tears
but the girl it reflects has many of these
a fear inside that none can appease
hte girl in the mirror is open to all
the one out here is scared of her fall
but for now and ever she'll stay this way
the girl in the mirror she becomes day by day
through her life she'll carry on, never to find
that she'll lose herself, her thoughts and her mind
