Tranquility

by Helene   Mar 6, 2008

The sirens stop and all I hear,
Is the sound of my heartbeat to disappear,
Tranquility I come at last,
Let me surrender from my past,
I see no light behind the dim,
And pray to God they'll let me in,
Whatever I am waiting for,
I will be waiting at the door,
The Gates ahead I hope to find,
To leave this weary life behind.

Tranquility, Tranquility,
My lost beloved silence,
I wait for you to rescue me,
Away from sound of sirens.
Tranquility, abide in me,
I long for long lost sleep,
I've been awake for so long
That my weary eyes can't weep.

The darkness seals around me,
And all I see is you,
You've waited to surround me
And by God I've missed you too.
Snow fuses with the color red,
and someone whispers "Is she dead?"
But I know I am home at last,
Tranquility, my aching past.

Tranquility, Tranquility,
My lost beloved silence,
I long for you to rescue me,
Salvation from the sirens,
Tranquility, I feel the peace,
The calming sense of amity,
And soon we'll share infinite rest,
My dear long lost Tranquility.

Yours
