A haunting past,
sends chills down my spine.
A past that pains me,
even though it isn't mine.

I cannot change what happened,
but I can make things new.
A new life once we escape this place,
which I promise to make better for you.

And I'll give you a good memory of us,
every bad one from your past you recall.

I'd just erase them all.

I do feel pretty bad for you though,
but I know pity isn't what you need.
