End of a Phase

Hard times, such hard times had passed upon me
Depression covered my crying heart for some time
Tears blurred my vision so I couldn't see
Times in which I felt as my every action was a crime

Friends disappeared before my eyes, locked in a cell
Only close friends tried to help, and release me
But as a result of my state, they suffered as well
Back than I was someone who I was never meant to be

Those dark times are over now, it's time for some light
As I recall, my friends are still by my side
For those precious souls I live with all my might
As I'm sure that every one of them will always abide

To my best friend I can never forget you
The sun in your eyes shines with the brightest light
You always know just what the problems are, and what to do
You're the first one to never leave my sight

To my second best, and the one closest to the pain
I must apologize for my every crime and sin
Wishing there would be any way to regain
Your loving eyes and heart, as they had once been

For all of my other friends I must thank from my heart
Your role in my life is, and always will be a crucial one
You were the ones figuring my bad state from the start
Without your help my phase would probably be far from done

    Sometimes the flow was a little off but that's okay. I love the message of this poem. I think (as AblissfulDREAMER stated before) that the transition from sad to happy was a bit quick. But other than that.. it was a great write. 5/5 from me.

    Wow I just loved how you began this because you took me back to a time were I was suffering of depression because of lost friends. The way you described everything was just flawless. The transition from sad to happy was a little too quick for me and I would have liked it if you described how your friends abandoned you a little more in detail to make it flow a lil better. Your expressions of your two best friends was just beautiful and inspirational to read. Its an amazing thing to have when you find those people that will stick by your side through everything and it seems you have so I loved the happy ending. Well done *5/5*

    Aww this poem was so sweet, what a great way to say thank you to your friends for being there for you. You're very lucky to have people that stick by you no matter what, I can completely relate to that which makes this poem even better. The flow was sometimes a little off but otherwise this was a really sweet, honest poem that came straight from the heart.

    This was absolutely beautiful, and it truly made me smile as I had the pleasure of reading about somebody who is so thankful for the friendships they have. It's wonderful that you've managed to overcome the heartache in your past that you and your friends endured, and I really hope that the friendship amongst you all continues to grow in the future.

    Aw, this is such a good poem. I especially loved it because I know how friendship really is. This is exactly how I feel towards my best friend Ericka. It shows a lot of feeling and emotion. The flow worked perfectly. I can absolutely feel what you feel towards your friends. Great job!!!
