Beautiful Rose

by anett   Mar 8, 2008

Your petals so soft and smooth
Your smell so intense yet calming
Your presence like no other
I come to stare at your beauty
I am taken back by your red, vibrant, stunning color
Petals made up of green and life to flourish
You stand so strong showing your thorns of pain
The thorns of protection, not violence
The thorns that give you the strength to live such a cold earth
You give those blood who hurt your presence,
This ability I wish to have
I look up to your serenity yet ability to take down those
The ones who are not worth your beautiful sight
Your petals will soon shed and fall apart into ashes of veins
Your smell will slowly diminish
Your strong stance will become shriveled,
But you will never stop being a beautiful rose,
The one I see in front of me

    First comment! Yeah!
I loved the way you pictured it being so beautiful then at the end how it fades away. Great job.
