Beat down

Beat me down
kill my soul
i show no life

you took your shot
and stole my heart
stabbed with a knife

black holes fill
gaps where eyes
saw false truth

death came to me
you stole all away
lacking proof of hope

by the knife
you beat down
my souls truth

now i lay down
cold on the floor
in a pooled blood

where the knife
cut my heart
pain is gone

I'm dead by you
the knife in hand
i've been beat down

    The emotions are very powerful in this. It is sad though to read about someone being pushed down and kept down. Very good job though.
