Love the flow and rhyming of this one....what I really love about your poetry....it begs to be read aloud!

    "How content they would surrender,
where the daylight wars with night,
    on a vast enflamed horizon,
to the rich and fiery light."

^ Beautiful metaphor......brilliant insertions: "daylight wars with night", and "enflamed horizon"

Enjoyed this one very much! Take care, Debbie

Wow.. this was a fantastic read!!..

"How the faintest glimpse of sunlight,
    makes their hopes ascend anew,
    given nothing but the presence,
of a shadow in my view."

Really enjoyed this stanza, the sorrow and pain was felt so intensely within these few lines.. An amazing write altogether!!

What a excellent piece you have penned. The imagery and word choices are awesome. The flow great.

"How the faintest glimpse of sunlight,
    makes their hopes ascend anew,
    given nothing but the presence,
of a shadow in my view."

The emotions captured in your words really reach out and touch the readers heart.

Powerful and beautifully penned. The imagery is excellent and the flow is impeccable!

    ^How content they would surrender,
where the daylight wars with night,
    on a vast enflamed horizon,
to the rich and fiery light.^

Great word choice and no forced rhyming.
