Unspoken Terrors To Be Left Behind

by Mousie   Mar 9, 2008

Enveloped in darkness
I see nothing but black.
The light has left
Leaving what remains unrecognized.
I see myself
Huddled in the corner.
Curled in a ball
I am left without words.
Unspoken terrors have overtaken
What is left of my tattered soul.

In another corner is a brilliant light
Pure as the sun shining bright.
The familiar girl I was
Dances without shame or reproach.
Blame is a mystery
For she is innocent, kind and gentle.
With patience she lives
The life I once had.

So why must the darkness
Shroud the light I once shone?
What has become of the ability
To be a bundle of laughter and joy?
Today I begin that journey
Off to find the girl of a former I.
I will soon wash away the pain
Of those souls who have conceived my weakness.
I will find myself once again
I will be back.

hope you all like it!
