A little girl and the devil

by StandStill   Mar 9, 2008

A little girl
on the floor
her pale white skin
can't take the cuts anymore

but she can't help
but cause herself pain
she has everything to lose
but nothing to gain

this little girl
sits in a pool of blood
thinking of the one who was ending her life
because he could

a little girl
who gave her heart
to the devil
so he could tear it apart

he ripped down her walls
he watched himself win
he watched her bleed
watched her pain begin

but she continued to try
to befriend
this creature in her life
who only sought an end

and this little girl
with pale white skin
now sits on the floor
looking for the end to her sin

tonight a little girl's life does end
because the devil was her only friend

Do you know how my veins stopped their blood flow? it was reading this stanza and how soft the last line just kissed the seal

    but she continued to try
    to befriend
    this creature in her life
    who only sought an end

    Who only sought an end

its simple your words but god wow.. they are so.. beautiful words.. 5/5
