Master of Sweet Nothings

by Tina Carr AKA Snickers   Mar 9, 2008

Sometimes you make me laugh
'Til I'm rolling on the floor
But I always end up crying
Wondering if you love me anymore

You yell and you cuss
Then throw the blame on me
But I always forgive you
After your tearful apology

I've compromised so much....
Everything I ever believed
But the only thanks I get
Is for the times that you received

You're the master of sweet nothings
Constant whispers in my ear
But I know not to believe you
As you wipe away that tear

Sad to say, I love you
If only it was a lie
But your meaningless gestures
Make it hard to say goodbye

I'm the same way. its hard to be so helplessly forgiving but you portrayed it beautifully in the poem.
