Me In Real Life

by Patrick   Mar 10, 2008

She cried every night for years and years
Her heart was empty full of nothing but the love of her son
He watched her drink her pain away a little at a time
But she never could get drunk enough to take away the pain
Until that silent September night
She put that rope to her head and jumped off the chair
And finally put away her pain
Life is short but this time it was bigger
Than the strength she had to get up off that bar
We found her with her body cold as ice
With no note to tell us why
And when we buried her beneath the willow
The Angels took away her pain that night
The rumors flew but nobody know how much he blamed himself
He tried to hide the beer on his breath
He tried drink his pain away a little at a time
But he never could get drunk enough to put away his pain
He thought about how much she hurt inside
And how she put that rope against her head and jumped
And how she finally put away her memories
He knows life is short but how hers was shorter
How could she just go away like that
He thought if she did that what would happen to him
While he was clinging to her picture for dear life
He laid his head down on his pillow
While he wished the Angels would take away his pain
Like they did for her on that silent night in September
He wishes she was here to see him grow
Now he feels he has no one to help him in this life
No one to help him with his troubles
He worries his pain will grow like hers
And his life will end just as quick
With all his troubles pilled and no one there to guide him
He wonders what will happen in his life
But when all of this took place he received a call from his past
He then found out
That there is someone he can run to in his time of need
Shes the closest to an Angel you can get
She is his sister
And she has saved his life
He promises they'll not grow apart again
And that if she ever has a time of need
He'll be there just like she was for him
