Never Complaining On The Count Of You

by Soulful Ensemble   Mar 10, 2008

I've got a few words to say to you
I hope they're not so bad.
I'm never complaining on the count of you
So don't be too mad.

My thumb is injured and i've got no time
To write you a long thing, you realize.
But my words must come out so i'll be fine
And I will choose to have no eyes.

The sky seems to fall upon the shore
But I dont argue with the sun.
A rainbow is coming across the door
And that will be all I sung.

Somebody told me, but I wouldn't know
That all wounds are healed, too.
I've been busy dying to live now,
And never complaining of you.

When I realize I do have time
It will be too late to smile.
Ill be eating alone, with no line
And missing the crowd's grime.

It seems to be so rare
To nowadays sing so well,
That I wouldn't dare
To write something swell
That puts you on a spell.

I've been staring, myself
At holes along the wall.
Somebody should put me on a shelf
So that I can just fall.

But even if I had a while to suffer
I wouldn't dare to boo.
I'd know that life has made me tougher
And I'm never complaining on the count of you.

Looking at stuffed animals always made me sad,
It gives me melancholy; what they could've had.
Being shadows of those giant hearts; I'm glad
That I stopped to think before daring to be mad.
