Reaching you

Theres something i have to do
something i should've done a long time ago
but its hard to say
since time is against me

so I'll fly away
(looking for her)
with engines out and fuel low
disregarding what happens to me now
cause shes the only one reason why
this heart still beats

and when i see her
I'll be closer to heaven
closer to paradise

but if all else fails
I'll fall to my knees
with my hands held high
and scream into the light
(from the bottom of my heart)
"i love you"

    I could ramble on about poetic devices, but in all honesty poetry isn't about that. Its about being honest and translating the feelings you have or want to get out.

    You did a terrific job and I feel you aren't a bullshit poet. There's a lot who are and who just write but they don't get it. I think you do. The girl you love is extremely lucky.
