Id be considered a bad friend
But now that Ive heard
What youve said
I have a change in mind

Like you, I too
Have my ways of saying what I feel
So Ill right you a poem
To explain what my heart has to say

Your feelings and opinions
They mean the world to me
Even if you had millions
I would sit for hours listening

I know you have concern for me
As naturally I do for you
And if you feel something isnt right
Dont be afraid to speak the truth
And never hold back a lie

I would never ever
Consider or think of
Replacing you with anyone or thing
Youre my one last feather in my tattered wing

No matter what
Im always here
A hundred years from now
You can count on seeing me

Youll never have to loose me
Ill never let you try
Youve always been there for me
Even in my darkest of times
Only you would know what can go on in my mind

I know youve realized
As have I
That weve grown apart
Or as I like to place if
Weve grown different

Were not the same
As we use to be
But thats to be expected
Nothing ever stays the same

Just because the calls may not come in all the time
doesnt mean Im not thinking of you
Or that im not wishing I could speak to you
Never does a day go by that you arent on my mind

Things dont go back
To the way they were
But youre my best friend
And I will forever have you labeled as that

You say you look up to me in confidence
But im telling you now
Im the farthest thing from that

Dont let that discourage you though
You can still keep your heart open to me
And let yourself in
Ill, no matter what, always keep it safe
Im your best friend, your sister
Nothing will change that

Together forever, still lays true to my heart
You might think that wrong if you read it
But I wouldnt lie about that
Especially when its you im talking about

Of course things end
They always do

I once didnt believe that
And I know neither did you
But its time we open our eyes
And see what we had to hide

I understand how you feel
And to a certain point I feel the same

Please believe me when I say
Im here for you, for always
Im your best friend
And always will be

We may grow apart
But I promise
