Jasmine

I am just a princess
With a tiger for a best friend
Never seeing over that wall
My thoughts are beginning to bend,

I want to fall in love
But father doesn't agree
You can never help love
You just want it to be,

But I am only a princess
Falling in love
With a poor boy on the other side
I can't let him go like a dove,

I finally found him
As he sits hiding with his monkey friend
Under a little step
He's trying so hard not to bend,

He runs away to a cave
He goes inside
"Do not touch the diamond in the rough,"
We hear a voice say as we go in with a sand tide,

The monkey friend touches the diamond
The place shakes and rumbles
"I guess that's what you get for falling in love"
I mumble,

Finally some hope
I look down to see the city below me
As we are soaring on a magic carpet
I look down and see a twinkle in the sea,

I look to the side
And see his sweet simple eyes
"You're the one..."
He whispers only lies,

My mind screams
Give him a chance
He can't be lying now
Look at those eyes in a trance,

I'm only a silly princess
Falling in love
This time it ended
With a happily ever after and a dove.
