First Loves (?)

We laughed together
Held each other's hand
And walked down the same roads.

But later on
We would take different paths
And time would no longer seem slow.

Our feelings would change
We'd hurt each other in many ways
And our friendship would fade away.

Hard times will come
Our hearts will both break
And there will be many pains.

We'll become stronger
By the things we get hurt by
And how we deal with life.

It'll seem hard at first
To sort out the truth from the lies
And to cope with the hard times.

But we'll still make it
As long as we don't give up
And we always try hard.

If we ever stop caring
Then we've lost the greatest treasure
And we'll lose each other forever.

Never let go no matter what happens
