Winter

by Poet on the Piano   Mar 11, 2008

The snowcapped mountains shine with pride,
Just like the moon in the cold night sky,
The scenery of this season,
Makes me smile for many reasons.

The inches of snow on the bare trees,
Makes me wonder how it could be,
That there is so much beauty all around,
And all of it spreads throughout the town.

The snowflakes that fall from the clouds,
Are so quiet and not at all loud,
They gently touch the ground,
As they make a silent sound.

Winter is a very breathtaking time,
That I always seem to find,
We should cherish all of its days,
Even when the snow begins to fade.

The imagery here just blew me away and I was lost within your beautiful words. You touched every sense and put me into such a scenic place filled with beauty. The words you used to painted such flawless imagery was great and completed the poem to and made it stand out. The flow was great and overall it was a great nature poem. Well done *5/5*

Once again, you've done an amazing job. There is so much imagery in this poem. I could see it almost perfectly. (:

There was one thing, though. It was probably just the way I was reading it and so on, but the 'transition' from the first to the second stanza kind of through me off, like when I read them together. And, I did so two times, and both times it kind of threw me off. I'm sure it was just me, but I figured I'd say something.
The lines there though, are probably my favorite. They just didn't flow together all that well.

This is an amazing poem, and the imagery in it makes it even better. Plus, you have good flow and word choices. (:

    Keep it up!
