Lost In Time

Where does the love go
when goodbyes are said
where did that forever we promised die to
when memories are left behind

do you even give a care in the world
to know how deep I've sunken
between the cracks just to feel again

Ive spent months
coming up with reasons
to forget and move on
but too few come to mind

I'm just lost in time
trying to fix whats broken
but i have not the tools
to repair this wound Ive worn for so long

but still i wonder
where the words of forever have gone
as i search the far corners of the earth
to breathe in hope
and exhale misery
