Imagination

by Morgan Staan   Mar 12, 2008

In a pink land of make-believe
There sat a young girl
Whose face was serene

She knew not of demons
She knew nothing of evil
There was so much around her
Such things weren't believable!

But down from the depths
A new terror crawled,
To catch her in slumber,
For sure she would bawl

This thing was not heavenly,
Very far from divine,
Its filth was so horrid
You could compare it with swine!

But such was this evil
That the girl could not know,

Very soon it would catch her
Her pink land in tow!

Slowly but surely
From her slumber she'll wake
And see not the demon
Would be too much to take

She'll rise
And for certain
Absolutely,
Positively
She'll stake down the demon
For sure there will be victory,

For nothing could harm her
Of this she's aware,
To her pink land of make-believe,
No power could compare

So slaying the demon
With happy thoughts in mind,
She'll cry out triumphant
No more evil in sight

And turning to leave
A devilish wink in her eye
Unaware we will be,
Which one of them died?
