In This House

by Morgan Staan   Mar 12, 2008

In this house there are no lights
But if you look really hard
You can see just right
There is nothing here for you to fear,
But it's time you came to the conclusion dear
That in this house where no lights shine
The ones who enter are surely mine.

From me you'll run and try to escape
Your words cry out and feed my hate
But in the end
For you my friend
As you roam in darkness and reach towards me
I will wrap you tightly in my embrace
And look at you closely,
So you can see my face

And as you scream and your tears roll down
Your mouth becoming
A deep deep frown
I will squeeze you tighter
To prevent your flight
And I will whisper to you
As you tremble in fright
That in this house,
There are no lights
