The Fall

by Morgan Staan   Mar 12, 2008

The leaves turn brown
The weather becomes cold
Kids misbehave
Some do what they're told
The wind howls at night
And they prowl with delight
To houses and places untold
Pumpkins shine bright
Decorations are hung
Because Halloween
Has just begun
Parties are thrown
The time is unknown
As they laugh and they dance
With nothing but chance.

But the leaves start to fade
And the children are then made
To bundle up in clothes
Ten times their weight.

Winter comes on
The snow tumbles down
Halloween is long gone
And no sound is made.
