It's their fault

Me and MY gang fit together like a puzzle
we are three different pieces to the puzzle
and they all fit except our perfect square is missing a corner

your parents always tell you don't drink and drive
if only her parents were there she'd still be alive
we're sitting at the funeral and her parents are crying
all of us just think, "you probably don't even remember her name"

we are the only people in this world who actually knew her...too bad she had so much going for her
one of the puzzle pieces slips me a note and i read

"it's their fault we're here crying. our parents knew more about her than those low lifes. her father drove her to drink, and that mother of hers ignored her to the point of calling our mothers 'mom'.I just wish we were there when she was born to take her in. that would be too easy, and we all know life isn't easy."

it's their fault we're here crying.
