The Man You Once Were

by Pascal   Mar 13, 2008

The week went by so slow.
I can feel what I felt then.
I can see what i saw then.
And i know it was all real.

Shadows slipping past my door.
Whispers from the hallway.
Shady apparent lies flying out your mouth made it all clear.

You became a person I've never known, and never wanted to know.
You made my nightmares a reality and I can never forgive you for that.
You betrayed my trust, and now the man I allowed to hold my world has no more significance than the clerk in the grocery store.

You'll always be there.
You'll always be a part of my life.
But never again the part you once were.
