Joe was a city boy from Chicago, who's only dream was to find his place in the world. He moved to a town right outside of Chicago called Elgin, where he met a girl named Candace, since the day they met they were inseparable. As the years went by their love for each other grew. her parents were abusive and sexually harrassive, but he still loved that girl for her.
His life was nothing less then a real series of unfortunate events. But she still loved that boy for him.
It got to the point where they could not live if one was not around, they planned to run away many times, but one night they decided to got through with it, in the morning they were going to meet at the tree where the spent many of their afternoons together.
and they were going to head to his mothers house hoping she would greet them with open arms, so she could escape her parents and they could live together happily.
He awoke that day expecting to be free with love only to wait and wait for her not to show. So he went to her house, her parents was in the living room messed up and passed out.
So he walked passed them and went on up the stairs to her room only to find his true love had, put a piece of hot steel to her head and pulled the trigger.
There was a note probably left for him, mortified by the scene he picked it up and read it.
It said. "Dear, Joe.
I love you and always will, i know you would join me in my fate, but you must break your promise to me, and go on living your life. You are special and unique and will make someone else very happy. Sorry i didn't make it, i have my reasons, but i guess you'll never know, just know that i love you Joe and i always will.
Goodbye."
Grieved by the loss of the girl, he wanted to die, but he didn't. Instead he honored her wish and dragged on not knowing his purpose for doing so, dragged on alone!
